CubePro with Machine Control Panel

Has anyone had success connecting Simplify3D to the CubePro and using the machine control panel with it?

I hooked up the USB/Printer Cable to the CubePro and am unable to communicate. I'm not sure if this is because 3DSystems only allows this port to be used for firmware updates or if there is something else wrong (the printer does not show up in my hardware devices, but I don't think 3DSystems intended it to either)

3D Systems uses locked down encrypted communication for all of their printers, so you can't use any 3rd party software with them. You can however use Simplify3D to handle all model processing and for creating the cubepro files. That gives you the advantage of the improved slicing and all the options in S3D, you just have to print from the flash drive and can't use direct USB communication from S3D since it has been blocked by 3D Systems.
