ZYYX Heated Bed mod

Hey guys,

So I've just done a rather horrific thing and added a large heated bed to the ZYYX printer I have. The hardware works excellently and is not the issue. Trying to control the bed using s3d however is driving me a bit batty.

so heres the info:

x3g profile is set to replicator 2(default) and all gcode has been inserted at start and end sections as required. Printer does not seem to receive any commands regarding heatbed and ignores it,

second attempt. same except for x3g profile set to replicator 2 with heatbed. Heatbed works great and does exactly what it is supposed to do and printer prints just fine, but the pwm fan seems to now not respond when told to come on.

Something I'm missing?

Well you can't use the normal Rep2 GPX profile, since that doesn't support a heated bed. So you definitely need to be using Rep2 with heated bed for the GPX settings.

When you set fan speeds, do you see M126 and M127 commands in the gcode file?

yes the m codes are in place for the pwm fans

Sooooooo. Turns out I'm a bit ham fisted and managed to pull out the fan connectors when i was reassembling the system.

I have a ZYYX+ as well. How do you find the heated bed mod? Is it needed for ABS etc.

No replies yet to the source of the heated bed for the ZYYX+ ?

I too have just bought this printer, ABS is impossible to print without a heated bed, wish I'd known sooner I'd never have ordered it.

Please, Cjay or anyone, any help with this?
