Flashforge ABS white residue

If you lightly heat the white marks they disappear very quickly. The first image is untreated and is badly marked. In the second image, I have heated the feet and tail and in the third image I have fully treated the model.

If you can't find something like that, I've heard that a regular lighter will also work. Start about 6" away and slowly bring it closer until the marks start to disappear. If done properly, the model won't get hot enough to deform.

I don't think it's that simple. The rabbit in the image that I posted earlier was printed on a freshly installed (same day) platform sticker just like the one you linked. However, I completely agree that this isn't an S3D issue.

Some filaments seem more prone to the problem than others. I made rabbits in six different colours and the IC-3D red was about the worst. IC-3D orange, Hatchbox green and an unknown brand of blue ABS that came with the printer were almost as bad. On the other hand, some filaments, such as Hatchbox black and Hatchbox gold, don't seem to suffer at all. They were all printed from the same file on an SD card so the only change was the filament.

I did last night my first print with PEI (Flashforge Creator Pro, ABS). It's magic. Perfect first layer, no 'white residue', no wrapping, and at the morning the machine was cold and the part was just laying on the bed. No need to 'remove'. It's something else. Hopefully the quality will not degrade for one reason or another. Got the PEI and 3M adhesive from Amazon, plenty of information there in the reviews.

Those are definitely stress marks from the ABS cooling and popping off the bed. The only way to get rid of them is as you said, heating them. I have this heatgun and use it on setting 1 and it does a nice job of cleaning it up.
