Copying a model after slicing- new slice doesn't update

Hard to describe, but when I load a part, slice it, then preview it all is well.
If I then duplicate that part x number of times, and re-slice it, the preview still only shows the original part.
I have to delete the original part, the re-copy one of the copies to get it to work.

For example, I load "part 1", slice it, preview it= good
I duplicate "part 1" 3 times for a total of 4 parts (parts 2, 3, and 4)

When I re-slice the job, the preview will still only show part 1- even if I move it it shows up fine in its new location on the preview, but the other models wont.

To fix I must remove part 1 then copy say, part 2 one time, to get a total of 4 files.

On larger files it sometimes crashes S3d.

ahhh yes thats part of your process settings. click on your process. all the way at the bottom is a button "select models". remember with creator you can print 6 different models at the same time with a different process applied to each. when you have multiple models you need to select which ones you want the process applied to.

Re: Copying a model after slicing- new slice doesn't update

CADMan,

Don't do what I did when I ran into the same situation. I had a "print job" of 6 parts in one run. I imported part #1, applied a process to it, imported part #2, put in a second process for it, etc., etc. Ended up trying to print each layer six times. I walked away for about 10 minutes after the first layer (okay, the first of 6 prints of the first layer) looked good. What a mess!

I think I PayPal'ed an order for a new hot end that same evening.
