Simplify3D + Ultimaker 2+ & Ninja SemiFlex

Hi Guys,

I Bought recently a U2+ and i don't have much knowledge with the S3D, but i bought the S3D because all of my friends told me that is the best Slicer they worked.
I installed yesterday the software and one thing i noticed is that there is no U2+ on the initial configs, the U2 configs are the same for both machines?

And one other thing is if anyone can share some Print Settings for the Ninja SemiFlex for the U2/U2+ in the S3D?

Thanks & Best Regards,
Andre.

The UM2+ uses the exact same settings as the UM2 as far as the software is concerned. So just go to Help > Configuration Assistant, and select the Ultimaker 2.

As for printing with ninjaflex, that's going to be challenging with a long bowden extruder like what's on the UM. You can try searching the forum for other tips, but try to keep the speed slow and consistent and also I would probably disable retractions since those won't work well with flexible filament and a bowden tube.

Actually, theres 2 changes one should consider changing for the UM2+:

1.) with bed size of 230mm width as is default in the UM2 profile your UM2+ wider fan shroud will crash into the side wall. I found out hard the way. (That's probably why Cura only uses 223mm)
2.) There's a line in the start code to increase the stepper current, this apparently no longer recommended for the UM2+
