Protocol of the actual settings

I'd whish to have the possibility to print out the process-settings, that I am actual using.
- some kind of the Protocol of the settings for the actual gcode, I'm generating.
For instance when I'm testing different settings for a difficult and complex 3D-printout, this would be absolut helpfull.

Re: Protocol of the actual settings

It already puts a copy of all of the settings that were used in the header of the gcode file. So for any file you print, just open up that file in a text editor and you will see all of the settings at the top

You can also get a printout of just the settings by saving your profile (click "Update Profile"), then going to File > Export FFF Profile. The .fff file is just a plain-text XML file, so you can easily open it in a text editor if you want to view it

Re: Protocol of the actual settings

That's not the feature we are requesting. I do all my work on a particular material and model on my big machine in my office. I then use Dropbox, and import it into the laptop controlling the printer. Everything is automagically updated. We are requesting the ability to do that with indevidual FFF processes. I'm working on a model shot glass that renders correctly on my main machine, but the one that controls the printer keeps filling it in and covering up the top. Same version of Simplify3D. I don't know why, and having to go through a fricking text editor to trouble shoot each individual print sucks. Being able to export and save an individual FFF process that works for each material/print would be a GREAT time saver. I even tried saving the G-code and importing it into the other machine - no joy. Thanks.

Re: Protocol of the actual settings

I'm not sure what you mean by "we" but the OP was asking about a way to print out all of the settings that are being used, which was already explained above.

It sounds like you have a separate issue that might warrant a new thread. You said that you have 2 computers and one is slicing a file differently, so I would assume that means you are using different settings (or maybe even a different version of the model). Either way, they already have a single file type that makes it easy to ensure you have identical settings between programs. Just save a factory file and then copy that to the other machine. But again, if sounds like you should make a new thread and post the exact file you are having trouble slicing.
