Can post processing code do this?

Hi!

When exporting a gcode file, the temperature settings at the beginning look like this:

M140 S50     ; heat bed
M190 S50     ; wait for bed to reach temp
M104 S230 T0 ; heat head
M109 S230 T0 ; wait for head to reach temp

Which makes the bed heat up, and only after it reached the target temperature, the nozzle starts heating.

I tested if changing the order can make them both heat at the same time, and it works indeed:

M190 S50     ; wait for bed to reach temp
M109 S230 T0 ; wait for head to reach temp

Now the question is, can I do this 'move line one up' with the post processing commands in s3d?

Change the order in the start up script if you want this. the bed takes a lot longer to heat up than the head due to the large surface area. Generally people want to wait fro the bed to heat up before starting the head since the head heats up fairly quickly, and leaving a nozzle at temp for a long time could cause oozing, clogging, etc etc

Well actually I can't find it in the startup script?

You can put it in yourself. Just add something like the following

M140 S[bed0_temperature]
M104 S[extruder0_temperature] T0
M190 S[bed0_temperature]
M109 S[extruder0_temperature] T0

This has been covered dozens of times before on the forum, so if you need more explanation about why it works like this (hint: power supply issues) and more info about how to control the sequence, I'd suggest searching
