Idea: Subforum to share .fff profiles

Thumbs up on this idea. My only thought would be to keep it positive so we can learn from each other's successes and use the other sub-forums for concerns and issues. Is that what you were thinking?

It would be ideal if people would share their "General Purpose Profile" for their printer and material.

I would love to see topics like:

"Ultimaker 2 - PLA - General Purpose Profile"
or
"Makerbot Replicator 2 - ABS - Extreme Overhang Compensation Profile"

things like that, would prevent one to reinvent the wheel

I'd like to see the titles be just slightly more specific. Please include, as a minimum:

• Printer model, e.g.: MakerGearM2_
• If the printer has some updates, an indication of them, e.g.: V3B_0.25mm_ (later hot end design with non-standard nozzle size)
• Material with manufacturer and color, e.g.: MGBlackPLA_
• Layer height, e.g.: 0.1mm_
• Quality, e.g., High_
• Your initials, handle, or other identity, e.g., DER

So: MakerGearM2_V3B_0.25_MGBlackPLA_0.1mm_High_DER.FFF

Yeah, that's a handful. But I think looking at it you'll know whether you want to grab it or not.

Or something like that. I'm not on my S3D computer at the moment -- so of course I've missed something important.
