Crashing all the time when launching the software.

I have contacted the technical support multiple times for my software that is crashing all the time when launching the software. They always tell me to delete my registry settings for Simplify3d. That works but it is becoming tedious (an one loses all profiles unless saved). There must be an easier way to solve this bug? How can I open the software without it automatically opening the last file? I asked but the tech team replied: see https://www.simplify3d.com/support/faq/#faq-4628 which tells me tell me to delete my registry settings for Simplify3d.

You might want to try a different computer to see if the problem is only on this one machine. There's lots of things that can cause a program to stop working (corrupt files, bad windows files, permissions issues, drivers, etc), so if you find it's only a problem on one computer, you can start troubleshooting some of those other things specific to that machine.

It is having this problem on one machine. The other is OK, but then I rarely use it since it a desktop far from the printers. This problem happens about once a week. That said, all my other software (including lots of 3D software) works fine on this machine. My video and sound driver (and all drivers that I can think of) are updated to the latest. This laptop is an Asus Gaming Laptop, only 4 months old. So I am guessing it is Simplify conflicting...with what?? Where do I start?

I am guessing it may be my complex and sometimes dodgy scans that I've sliced. How to I start up the program so that it doesn't have to automatically load up the previous project when launching the program? I should start there, but I asked the technical support by they have not gotten back to me on that one.

If you look in the preferences, you can disable "Save and restore application state"

Sorry...where are the 'preferences'? Also, this will not help if the program will not launch, since I probably can't get to the preferences when it is closed.
