Lines on top (not dragging)

Hello friends,

I have an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and am using a pretty good profile file made by some other Ultimaker users.

Problem is, I have this sort of surface finish, where it looks like combing (or something) leaving these dribbles on the top surface.

Would enabling "Coast at End" resolve this?

Yes I did. It's my first stop for wonky prints :)

Except this isn't dragging on the surface. Just a string of blobs (I had hoped the picture would demonstrate that difference)

If you use z-hop of cause the filement which is dripping out is still there... but it will come off easily because it "falls down". The drive to drip is still there but it is filament and temperature depending. Also the retraction settings can have influence on the "scars"

Thank you for your response

Not using Z hop

I have Coast at End unchecked (not selected)

What's a little frustrating is everything else works great, the PLA temp is 210 and my prints do not suffer from printing too hot.

Just trying to determine the right "tweak" to fix this.

I was doing some more looking and a friend on my web forum brought up some good ideas

I found this article too viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2089

Maybe try checking off the "Only retract when crossing open spaces" ?
