Printer Model Off Center

Hello,
I am relatively new to Simplify3D and am having one small problem with the interface. I found a suitable .STL file of my printer model (Creality CR-10) but when I import it into Simplify3D the model is off center relative to the build plate. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? I have attached a picture showing the issue.

Re: Printer Model Off Center

hiya,

looks like your origin is wrong.

check under 'tools' - 'options' - 'machine'

there you can make changes. i think it's your Y axis needs to be flipped.

or

Your machine's representation has the origin in the wrong place. This would be a design issue of the CAD.

hope this helps

Re: Printer Model Off Center

There's nothing wrong with the setup of your printer. Its the second option....simply that the origin in the .stl file needs adjusting so the simulated machine lines up with the bed.

I had a similar issue when I twiddled with the .stl file for the simulation of my printer.

You need to open the .stl in a CAD package and adjust the position relative to the origin, then re-save. It took me a few iterations to sort mine out.....
