4.0 + 3.1.1 issues?

I installed 4.0, it installed in different location from 3.1.1 and picked up settings, licence etc.. , now I have both running, tried open 4, close, open 3, close .. it works .. nothing crashes .. I plan to keep them both on the same box for a while (till I see v4 is stable and better and that 3.1.1 is not needed any more) but .. if anyone noticed any issues with both of them on same box, please share (as I said, so far so good)

Thanks posting that - it's good to know 3.1 and 4.0 seem to be independent, so can keep our old "safe" option while we try out 4.0. Very excited about 4.0!

Would be nice if someone from S3D could let us know exactly how independent the installations are. 4.0 imported processes/settings from 3.1, but was that a one-time thing (my guess), or will editing a process in 3.1 affect 4.0 (or vice versa)?

Depends what you mean by "data".....see my post on the above referenced thread!

I upgraded.....ran it...loaded a model, clicked "Prepare to Print" and it crashed.

Windows 10 64 bit.

In the Event Log I see a lot of source errors for SideBySide
