Origin Offset vs. Global G-Code Offsets

What's the difference between the two settings? Currently I have my M2 setup such that 0,0 is in the middle of the center of the bed. Homing the printer results in the printhead being located at -100, -125.

Currently I have an Origin Offset defined at x=100, y=125. Everything prints just fine, however the graphics in the application show everything printing in the lower left corner and off the left and bottom of the printbed. This graphical glitch makes me think there is some other setting I should be using that will make things appear to be normal. I just noticed the Global G-Code Offsets option.

It's unclear to me, how this would interact with the Origin offset. Best case, the Global G-Code Offset brings the in-application image back to where it appears to be printing on and print-bed, and real-world printing is unaffected. Worst case, it un-does the Origin offset, and prints in the real world no longer work.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Origin Offset vs. Global G-Code Offsets

The M2 origin is in the bottom corner by default, so 0,0 would be in the lower left corner. Did you modify the firmware to change this? Otherwise, the printer will still think that location is 0,0
