New printer first layer issue?

I purchased a new printer a Creality CR-10 S4 and it seems to work great except the fact that the first layer is printing with large gaps, (not sure how else to explain it, so will upload pictures instead) which results in a none smooth surface. This is a problem because I am trying to print a lid to a box and the lid is printed face down with some text on it so I expect a smooth surface.

My other printer (a FlashForge Dreamer) is able to print a completly smooth first layer without these gaps and I am actually printing the same file, so I know it´s not the model itself that is the problem..

Can someone help me with this?

I have it the same distance as the flashforge dreamer, and on both printers I use Buildtak, so I honestly doubt that is the issue.. I actually have a hard time getting the prints off the bed once finished.

Unless the creality for some reason needs the nozzle to print even closer to the bed?

Well....the pictures you have posted clearly show that for your first layer, either the extruder nozzle is extruding far too little plastic to fill the available space between the nozzle and the bed and the width of space in which you want it to completely fill....or that the extruder nozzle is too far away from the bed and as for the first cause, there is too much space for the amount of plastic being extruded.

You need to either increase the amount of plastic being extruded (which may upset other parts of the model) or lower the nozzle down so the first layer is thinner.

And forget about comparing printer a's settings with printer b's settings. They're two different printers with different everything! Even two exactly the same model and make of printers can need different settings!!!

It's like checking if there is gas in the tank when your car won't start but do you have the correct size nozzle diameter selected in S3D for the nozzle you are printing with?
