Z-Hop and another feature not possible at same time?

Hi. I really like the z-hop (retraction vertical lift) feature to avoid surface scaring. However, I'm also interested in troubleshooting the appearance of "blobs and zits". According to the troubleshoot page the z-hop feature requires the “Only retract when crossing open spaces” box on the Advanced Tab to be UNCHECKED but when troubleshooting "blobs and zits" it says to make sure that same box is CHECKED. Can both these features function at the same time somehow?

They already work together as far as I can tell. The z-lift gets added anytime there is a retraction. If you change the "only retract when crossing open spaces" options, that just changes how many retractions you have.

add the option Avoid crossing outlines and set to 999

The nozzle will follow the outlines the more as possible without crossing the object , very usefull for dual color clean
