FLSun Cricket (delta) setup

Hi everyone,

Trying to figure out something.
I'm used to cartesian style printers.
This FLSun Cricket is my first delta.
There is no printer file available thru S3D for it, so need to make my own.

Now I need a little help to ensure I'm not messing up the basics.

The printer has according to specs following measuments for buildplatform:
- 260 mm diameter of the bed
- 350 mm build height

Is my setup correct in the next picture?

I don't understand the meaning of "origin offset" , what's the exact use for it?

Thanks for reading...... and more thanks if you answer me.

Re: FLSun Cricket (delta) setup

Your delta is a bit larger than mine, but here's my setup that works OK:

Be aware that a delta printer's build volume is not defined by a right circular cylinder. The actual volume has a peculiar shape that is determined by the length of the arms, their distance apart, and the location of the printhead in relation to the ends of the arms. My printer (Atom2) has magnetic attachments for the arms, so if the printer tries to print outside it's actual print volume the arms just detach. But if your printer has mechanical connections you could easily break something in a situation like this.
