Why does S3D detect Self Intersect Surfaces other sw doesnt?

I'm preparing ZB mesh for shapeways. Its a nice clean quad msh using zmesher retopo, trangulated to 240K. Why does Simplify3D always seem to find self intersecting surfaces hat even Netfab and Make3DPrintable can not find/clean? It looks rather clean and simple so this issue is very frustrating!
Happens to most of my exported ZBrush mesh.

Yes, that is possible, S3D is a bit sensible, other slicers ignore it or they don't detect it.
Mostly there are reversed normales, lost surfaces inside .... or even intersected surfaces.

The repair function of S3D is not very effective, use a repair service like netfabb: https://service.netfabb.com/login.php

Thanks. I've been looking into the issue more too. I believe your are correct, Simplify3D's mesh analysis is very through, and that is one reason it delivers good results. I found several causes of ZBrush mesh Self Intersecting Surfaces - one is subtool welding, another is dynamic subdivision. S3D's seperate mesh helps in the former. Netfab does do well repairing non planar surfaces, however I find MakePrintable.com service more thorough especially with self intersecting surfaces and tool path clearance. It may take several passes,, but the end results are error free and still maintain sufficient detail.
