I find that when a new inside platform is being printed on top of the infill, at the edges, there is nothing for the
platform to sit on, and the extruded material balls up on the end of the extruder, then blobs up on the closest spot.
If a perimeter was first laid down around the area to be filled in, it would give the platform material something to grab onto, and not blob up.
Kinda like bridging?
In the first picture you can see how the infill is sparse (10%) and and in the second picture, the platform layer is extruded into open air on top of the infill.
If there was a perimeter to grab onto, I believe it would improve the first layer on top of the infill. Hope I'm making sense with this?
My pictures might not be the best in this example, its just the project I'm currently working on.
If need be, I'll take some more time to generate better pictures to help explain what I mean.
Possible options:
Generate Infill Perimeter Outlines [ Yes/No ] (check-box)
Infill Perimeters Outlines [ X ] (number of perimeters to be used)
Infill perimeter overlap [ % ] (Just like the Outline Overlay on the Infill tab)
