Filament sticking to nozzle when using Simplify3D

Hello,

I just purchased the software and I'm using the default profile for Flashforge creator pro dual extruder. I printed an object using replicatorG about 30 times flawlessly. When I tried to print the same object with S3D the filament sticks to the nozzle creating a larger and larger ball of filament as it goes and totally destroying the print.

I checked the platform and it is leveled. After the failed print I tried again printing with replicatorg and it printed flawless. Again I tried with S3D and same result, filament sticking to nozzle. I'm thinking it has something to do with the way it lays the first layer. It's also a very simple object, just a rectangle with hollowed out letters and it only takes about 10min to print.

I have the same results using slic3r - but I think I did not configure that one properly.

you are overextruding. if its just happening on your first layer then your nozzle to bed gap is too tight. if it continues to happen through the print in the upper layers then you need to make sure your filament dia and extrusion multiplier are set correctly. you should run a thin wall calibration cube to set the multiplier correctly.

Hi I have a similar problem when I'm printing with carbon fiber nylon on my k8400.
I have printed a calibration box and I'm not overextruding.
The filament builds up on the tip and after a while it drops off and makes a ugly layer.
