Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Issue: missing inner perimeters if object is in the center.

Case 1: One object only - object is centered by "Center and Arrange" button-> inner perimeters are missing on first 6 layers

Case 2: Two objects - one is in the center, the second (of the same parttype ) is not in center: missing inner perimeters on first layer only on centered model

Case 3: One object only - object is out of center: inner perimeters are OK
Missing_Inner_Perimeter_3.jpg
Case 4: Two objects - none of them are centered: inner perimeters are OK

Exactly the same process, only imported or removed one more object and/or moved the object out of center.

This was the first part I sliced with my brand new Simplify3D software... Not the best introduction.

(Besides that issue, the first layer is not solid and has gaps between the lines, which was never an issue for me in the past with any of the slicers I used. That still can be an S3D learning curve topic for me, so not claiming yet...)

Can you please post a Factory File showing this issue?

Please find the Factory file attached.
Do you need also the STL file?

Re: Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Surely a bug!

I have extracted the STL out of your factory and imported it into my own settings. There is NO Problem.

You have set 6 permeter lines and than the perimeters reach to the holes and have collision with the perimeters of the holes. Thats all.
Reducing the perimeters (3) solve the problem for the moment.

It seems to me it is the same issue I have mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11714 where the subject is "only" the brim. But there is also a collision of the brim-lines between 2 objects and V 4.1 let the space empty.

annex:
I can reproduce the issue in my settings, when I raise the perimeters to 5 and more.

Re: Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Yes, it's surely a bug, I agree.

The interesting thing is, that the issue seems happens only if the object is centered.
And from a given layer hight - while the geometry is the same and same collusion happens as you mentioned - the inner perimeters starts to be OK.
Strange...

I printed two objects, so there was no problem during the actual print with the inner perimeter gaps.

no, I have it in all positions.

Re: Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Misterious!
I can' t reproduce it now not outside the center, but Centered and Arranged the issue comes up again.
Therefore is new, when I center it and than turn for 90 degrees the issue is disappeared.

I give up! Turning back to its old position, there is no issue!

This is part of the new and improved top/bottom solid layers and perimeter processing! See this thread for further information: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11671

The workaround is to go back to v4.0.1

Re: Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Ah, indeed.

But the pattern seems different if I change the position.
Sometimes the first 7 layer is faulty, sometimes the first layer is OK, and others are not OK, and even if I have two object, there are some failed layers, but only a few.

Seems a bit random.

I didn't recognize it first, thanks for the observation!

I hope it helps the S3D developers to solve the issue, as the slicer in this way simply seems not reliable for me, I don't trust in it this way.
The result is unpredictable, and I beleive a commercial SW can not afford such kind of bugs!

Re: Missing inner perimeters if object is in the center

Sorry for redundant info, there was some post during writing mine...

From where can I get 4.01? I purchased the SW where 4.1 was already out...
