Manual Support Issue

Hi,

The numerous improvements for processing extremely large and complex build files and shortened times for exporting toolpaths in Version 4.1 are really great! So much time is saved.

Simplify3D is light years ahead of anything else out there!

There is an issue with the manual placement of supports on interior walls of objects in Version 4.1. The pillar disappears from the cursor and supports can't be placed. The workaround is to place the supports in V4.01 and then import them into V4.1. The example I have posted is a simple sphere with a 3mm wall thickness.

Re: Manual Support Issue

Things are a little more complicated than what you have reported.....

In v4.0.1 manual supports did not apply correctly. Irrespective of the Normal/From bed only switch, supports always applied as if the setting was Normal. In v4.1, the functionality has changed. Now, supports always apply as if the flag is set to From Bed only.

More work needed on this, I'm afraid!!

Re: Manual Support Issue

Hi,
this print is running at the moment (surely without support and turned 90°)
While waiting I have played with the mentioned problem and I must say, I have no problems with it.

H.
