Dual Extrusion Wizard

So I have designed 2 .stl files that when opened up in S3D one at a time align perfectly, I open the dual printing wizard and the objects break apart and re-align as separate items.

Is this correct, and how do I stop this from happening?

TIA

Re: Dual Extrusion Wizard

I might have sussed it.

First thing I did was to export the stl files individually from within S3D. That made the alignment (origin) a little better after throwing the dual print wizard switch. Not perfect - but at least both objects remained on the build plate now.

Then I ungrouped the objects, aligned them how I wanted and then grouped them again, This time they stayed put.

This wizard seems to be a little hit and miss tbh,

Re: Dual Extrusion Wizard

If the models import correctly aligned, you need to uncheck the Group and Align Models option of the Dual Extrusion Wizard. To move your models as a set without adjusting the alignment you may group the models after running the wizard.
