Model Positioning Offsets and Bed Coordinates - Any way to find a bed location?

Does anyone know the rhyme or reason on how Model X, Y position offsets are determined when positioning models on the print bed, or how to find the coordinates of any particular spot on the rendering of the print bed?

My goal is to be able to position models at particular spots on the bed. To date, I've looked at the offsets on a particular model, and then either guessed at a new offset (it was -36, well how about 40, where does that move it to?), or used the up/down arrows on a field to (slowly) slide the model in some direction.

Trying to see if there is a better way that I'm missing.

Would really like to be able to drag and drop to a rough location and then refine using up / down arrows, etc.

Perhaps the simplest thing to do...

On a Mac: click the model, hold Command key down and drag the model. Other platforms, I don't know keys but, there is one...

Or, simplly double-click the model, a panel opens, change the Position values, click Done.

Ahhh, the control-click (works on a PC as well) is what I was missing!
