Requesting a feature which will change the amount of retraction distance based on the linear distance between two points. The longer the distance between two points, the more retraction is necessary to keep material from drooling out of the nozzle. Here is what I'm thinking/suggesting:
Add/change the following options:
- Retract Only When Movement Distance is Greater Than __________ mm (prevents retractions for really short moves)
- Minimum Retraction Distance ___________ mm (same as current 'Retraction Distance' setting, sets a minimum amount)
- Retraction Distance _________ % (% of movement distance to be a retraction. will typically be <5%)
- Maximum Retraction Distance ___________ mm (sets a maximum retraction, prevents backing filament out of extruder)
As S3D calculates the movement of the machine, whenever there is a retraction, change the retraction amount based on the linear distance between wherever you stop printing and when you start printing again.
