Weird defects in top layers and certain area of walls

Hi All,

New user here, hopefully this isn't breaking any rules.

For the past few weeks getting up and running on Simplify 3D (using Cura previously), I've been unable to fix a few print issues. There are gaps in some, not all, top layers, as well as gaps in certain sections of exterior shells, and I just can't pin it down. It's odd because so much of the print comes out perfectly, most of the walls and top layers have no defects.

I've attached my profile, I'm using the Anycubic i3 Mega, and PLA+ filament at 205c (though I was previously using regular PLA and the same issues were there as well). I also attached photos showing the issue.

I've experimented with increasing extrusion multiplier, increasing top layers, increasing temperature, lowering speed, and increasing infill overlap (to 85%!), all to no avail.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Thank you!

Hi Gamer!

It sounds like you've already tried a lot of the common troubleshooting steps for these types of issues.

We have a few guides I'd like you to look at to try and solve these issues.

If you attach your factory file other users may be able to help you out too.
