Multiple layer height

It'd be really good to specify multiple print resolutions/heights during a single print.

For example, having a print do:
Layers 1-12 at 0.3mm
Layers 13+ at 0.1mm

This would speed up fine-resolution prints immensely - allowing the bulk of printing to be done at a low resolution then switching to a fine detail resolution when its really needed (e.g at the top of the print - where the detail is).

implementation would be the same UI as the Per-Layer fan/temperature set points.

p.s. I know this has been requested before, but in 2018 and 2017 respectively: its been a while :)

Re: Multiple layer height

This is exactly what the multiple process capability will allow....and as an added bonus, allow other settings to be different as well!

I can see a problem there just being ONE setting that can be changed at a specific layer. Other users will want other settings changeable as well......and the solution is multiple profiles!

I've seen variable layer height being requested for some time. But, as Doug said, using different settings for different objects and/or
sections is already possible: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/arti ... f-a-model/
