Makergear M3-ID, T1 (right head) problem w Vs 5.0.1

Heads 1 & 2 (left & right) have been working perfectly with Vs 4 for some time.

Just updated to Vs 5 and was enjoying great results with the left (T0) head.

When attempting to print with the right head (T1), although the print preview shows T1 as the active head, at actual print time T0 tries to print, crashing into T1 and generating cold extrusion errors.

Anyone got any ideas please?

If you look at the top of the gcode, do you see any T0 or T1 commands? If it looks correct in the S3D preview, I suspect those commands already exist in the gcode.

Sorry for the delay answering - the forum wasn't advising me of any replies to followed topics due to an incorrect setting, now fixed.

Skip past all the semi colon comments. You should see commands like G90, M83, etc. Do you see a T0 or T1 in that area?

Sorry - I'd forgotten that the semi-colon stuff is just comments. I should have known better.

It was supposed to do the bed level checking with T0, then switch to T1 until end of print. T0 should not have been required to warm up at all.

Immediately below all the comments...

then similar commands for many lines.

I must have something wrong with my settings somewhere as the last few lines contain...

M104 S0 T1 ; turn off right extruder
M104 S0 T0 ; turn off left extruder
M140 S0 ; turn off bed
G1 Z205 Y250 F1000 ; move the bed all the way down and to the front

T0 should have been turned off before T1 started to print.

Re: Makergear M3-ID, T1 (right head) problem w Vs 5.0.1

I don't see any T0 values in the gcode, so it definitely looks like the software is telling the printer to correctly use T1. This might need to be a question for Makergear if the firmware is using the wrong tool when you send a T1 command.

Hello,
To overcome this situation, I created 3 profiles.
1 for the left extruder (T0)
1 for right extruder (T1)
1 for dual (T0 and T1)
For the management of the filament cooling fans, I manage this with a script (I'm using Klipper)

As I said originally, the same sketch, re sliced in V4 prints perfectly using T1, so I'm not sure that is the answer.

So you have the same issue with the same printer?
