Re: FlashForge Dreamer Simplify3D Process Profile

Hi pcarlson,

I have different printer (Bukito), but I decided to try your file. I have my shells set 1o 1, but due to the thinness of the walls, they're basically just an inner and outer shell.I observed the same thing that you did (doing the inner wall in one direction and the outer wall in the other diretion. However I couldn't see any gaps like you saw. I tried with 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3mm layer heights.

Here's a photo of all 3:

I noticed that your beads seem a little more well defined. I was using PLA at a temp of 210C. I'm also rather new to this, so I find these discussions fascinating.

I would think that perhaps you want to increase the temperature a bit? Or perhaps reduce the retraction? I have my printer (with a Bowden tube) set to 2mm retraction @ 2400 mm/min

Re: FlashForge Dreamer Simplify3D Process Profile

Thanks for the photo dhylands.

I found the problem was caused because there was an airgap between the inner and outer layer. I had 3 shells, I had to drop it to 1 shell and 15% infill and it worked better.

The reason for the well defined layers is because I used a macro lens attachment on my iPhone. This photo was taken at 2mm away from the object, to the naked eye, the curls are hard to see.

Re: FlashForge Dreamer Simplify3D Process Profile

Hi,

First I would like to thank you for the great upload. It's very helpful.

I've been trying to print in two colors (both ABS) lately using both extruders. I'm did the processes and everything according to the guide on Simplify3D's website (http://www.simplify3d.com/support/tutor ... -extruders) but when I actually started printing, the left extruder doesn't seem to be working. The part of the left extruder is being printed by the right. I've tried switching the A and the B in the GCODE for the left extruder but that didn't work.

I attached my factory settings below.

Re: FlashForge Dreamer Simplify3D Process Profile

Hi,
I asked Simplify3D if they have profile files for Flashforge Dreamer and they gave me this file (attached). Looks good and note to use RepRap firmware configuration.

When I upgraded my Dreamer firmware recently, the pulley type was set wrong in the Dreamer when it rebooted. It was set to "Black" or something like that. That setting caused everything I printed on my Dreamer to be smaller and offset to the left. I had to change it to "Silver" or whatever the other setting was in order to get prints to work properly again. That setting is only configured using the Dreamer's touch panel display. I suggest checking to see if that's set wrong. It will surely cause print offset problems if its set wrong.
BaronWilliams, can you please help me to find the way to change the pulley? I don't have an option to do so under Tools, Settings.

Thank you in advance!

Stefan
