Any way to stop printing without the machine control panel

Is there any way to stop the printing task without displaying the machine control panel ?
I would expect to find a stop/pause button when I press the 'Print' button.

I'll +1 this one.

The only thing I really use the Control Panel for is stopping a print if something has gone wrong....and it would be far easier if the "Begin Printing over USB" button changed to a "Stop Printing" button whilst printing is in progress.

I have to agree with this. Seems obvious to me. Sometimes on my printer it gives me the option to cancel but it seems to be dependent on whether I have an SD card inserted. I've cancelled a few times by switching it off which I cant imagine is good for the electronics.

I was a bit surprised by that this basic feature was missing. All the bells & whistles are nice but if there is no big Start/Stop button then that is going to be a problem for many users, especially new users like me. Hopefully a future release will fix this obvious flaw.

I completely understand this concern.
seeing as its 2018, where is that stop button next to the missing pause button?
Also while making my 3rd print using Simplify3d, it decided to run the print sequence, without the printer moving to any of the coordinates.
it ran only in the simulation window, and that was after pressing the Print by USB button.
It seems to have chosen to turn off the print bed heater at the same time it did that.

I am new to this software as of late last night, I admit.

It's the latter half of 2020, version 4.1, and we still can't stop printing from the software. This is... less than optimal.
