Ubuntu 22.04, Failed to activate, network issues

Just bought and installed the software, it requires root privileges (what ?! in 2024 ??, but OK), launched it, and immediately it shows me the activation error, it says "Failed to activate software. The software will exit now.". No, I don't use proxy settings.

For 200$ price tag I don't expect this to happen.
Any solutions ?

P.S. please, don't ask me to disable firewall or check my network connection or something. This is ridiculous.

Re: Ubuntu 22.04, Failed to activate, network issues

I have setup S3D on quite a few Linux distros in the past few months, and I actually never needed to run the software as root on any of them. You may need to run as admin for the initial installer so that it can properly write files to the install directory, but after that you can run as a regular user.

I know most of our Linux customer install the software without any issues, so if you're having a specific problem on your setup I would recommend contacting our team directly below:

They will be able to lookup far more information about your account which we can't do via the forum.
