Re: Creality K1 wifi connection

S3D already supports wifi connection to Klipper based printers. Creality uses a very similar Klipper firmware on their K1 machine, but they actually modified the wifi communication enough so that it won't connect with any standard tools. It looks like extra software changes will be required before it will be compatible. I have already shared this with our development team so that they can investigate the change for the future.

Will that take several years? Couldn't you use your brain and add an option for K1/K1 Max to call their web interface from S3D and import G-code through it to start printing?

Call it wit: http://K1_IP/#/home

Re: Creality K1 wifi connection

That URL just opens the web interface that runs on the printer itself, but S3D would still need code to navigate that interface, attach the files, submit, and start the print. There's quite a bit more than just opening the page to make it work well with all features in the software.

I know our team is looking into it, so hopefully they will have a solution soon!

Re: Creality K1 wifi connection

Root your printer and install FLUIDD. This will allow you the connect with the printer IP and port 4408. More detail can be found here: https://github.com/Guilouz/Creality-K1- ... per-Script
