S3D screen is distorted and unusable

all of a sudden this is what I get when opening S3D

how do I get back to the normal app?

Please try updating your graphics driver. I would recommended that you go directly to the manufacturer's website instead of simply using the "auto-update" function within Windows or for the driver itself, since many customers were able to find newer versions by doing this.

It was not easy to find the driver on the Nvidia website, I had to do a general google search to find it on the Nvidia site.
