Rostock Max V2 Heated bed heats, extruder doesn't

Hi,
I just got this software for my new Rostock Max V2 and I'm using the Orion software. Sometimes the heated bed will get to temp and the extruder will just kind of sit there.

I either have to quit and re-open the software and print again, or disconnect reconnect and re-print.

Either way is not assured.

Is there a way to fix this or is this a known problem? I couldn't quite find anything.

Thanks,
David

So are you asking about the Simplify3D settings to use with this machine?... Or are you just looking for hardware advice?

Not quite sure to be honest.
I have a Rostock Max V2 which is not specifically supported by simplify3d. You do support Orion and original Rostock so i've been using Orion and so far it prints just fine. BUT like i said sometimes it just heats the print bed and then stops. no extruder temp changes..

So I'm not sure if I need to change the simplify3D settings to better adapt to my printer or any other hardware changes?

I'm not quite sure what the differences are in communication between Rostock Max/Orion/Max V2..

Any help is appreciated or if there is any way for me to provide you with more information I will gladly do so.

They already have support for the Rostock Max V2. It is fundamentally the same as the rostock max v1. If you're having problems with consistency, I would make a test gcode file. Print it 3 times in a row and see if the behavior on the machine changes. If so, then it's probably an issue with the firmware/electronics since the instructions in the gcode file aren't changing.

I have the same issue...

I resolved activating the Hot end and later the bed in the manual control (Over USB), in that order, the i start the print.

I think that can be wrote in the gcode in the starting script to use this trought the memory card.
I'm Just a bit lazy to search for the gcode to wrote that in the script panel :)
I'm still new with the nice printer :)

I have found if I disconnect from the printer right before printing and reconnect it will set the temperature for the extruder just fine. just kind of a weird thing.... going to keep looking into it.
