No toolpath generated

Hey guys. I have a factory file here that isn't generating any toolpaths for some reason. When I hit "Prepare to Print" it doesn't report any obvious failures, it just goes into preview mode and displays an empty bed. Build time is reported as 0 hours 0 minutes, using 0mm of filament. It's as if I didn't load any models or - but I did. They are small, but they most definitely exist.

I'm new to the software, so my apologies if I'm doing something stupid. But if anyone can take a look at the file and let me know if they can see what's wrong with it, I'd appreciate it very much.

Re: No toolpath generated

"edit process settings", advanced tab, you enabled the option to start printing at a height of 10mm. These parts aren't even 10mm tall!

disable that option and they slice fine

Re: No toolpath generated

Thank you Joe!

Setting from a prior experiment that I forgot about. I do think it's a bit counter-intuitive that the "auto-configure for print quality" buttons don't reset those sorts of things to default values, but maybe I'm just used to Makerware (which does behave that way). Thanks again.

Re: No toolpath generated

The auto-configure for print quality buttons will most definitely NOT reset those options. They don't have anything to do with each other. For example, if I was using two processes, one for the top 10mm of my model and another for the bottom 10mm, either one of those could be high, medium, or low quality. The quality has nothing to do with the start/stop printing at height options.

Re: No toolpath generated

Hi guys,
I just ran into this problem too and can confirm its not the "Start printing at height" setting which i've never used.
It only happens for me with these STL files individually:

If i try selecting add supports, only the supports and support build time will show up in preview. The regular view shows the 3d objects as normal. Know whats up?

Re: No toolpath generated

Well if you don't think it's the same problem that the OP was having, then it probably would be best to make a new thread instead of digging up this old one...

So I would suggest making a new topic and then also including your factory file (go to File > Save Factory File). That will make it much easier to provide suggestions.
