tires, chassis rails were bought.

thank you. no I didn't. it's just on my Facebook. it went to the Berlin institute of ecology.

Loved the build. Problem was that the parts were bigger than my build volume. but luckily it came together.

My project over the weekend. 20+hrs of printing, a few hours welding and filing the joints to get it reasonable, cut 6 stainless steel legs from tig wire and glue into printed collar thats locked on with a tie wrap.



They are printed in chocolate PLA giving them the appearance of Bakerlite. The speakers used are iHome mini speakers, the horns are loud at full volume.

20" high, 11" diameter. 1.0mm E3d Volcano nozzle, gray PLA, 500 micron layer height, 45mm/sec, 'vase mode' (no roof, no floor, no infill, 1 shell) : 3hr 9min. Not too bad...

I know this is a long standing thread, but it's the most appropriate thread for this post.

Just thought I'd show what I've been printing on my Makerbot Replicator 2 over the past two years, half of which has been sliced by S3D. This is my T Gauge (1/450th scale) layout of the railway bridge over the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh, Scotland...which I hope many will recognise as one of the iconic railway bridges of the world:

The bridge structure is 17 feet long and is made up of over 1000 separate printed components (in PLA). The land areas at either end contain between then just over 350 printed buildings ....so overall there's over 1400 printed parts.
