Bad Stringing Problem

I'm printing a basket that's open lattice and having a problem with stringing. I got some suggestions rom the Facebook page and they turned out worse. So I'm turning to the forum.

In reading about Stringing, it said S3D has some pre-configured profiles. Where can I find these?

Thanks
Allen

Hey Allen,

To access your printer pre-configured profile go to Help > Configuration Assistant. For help with stringing try checking out our Print Quality Guide Stringing Article - https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... -or-oozing

Re: Bad Stringing Problem

I have recently found that slowing down the xy speed (travel speed between open spaces you can greatly reduce stringing if retraction settings don't fix it. My particular printer defaults to 300mms for XY movement speed (on the speed tab of S3D). Reducing that to 200mms made a big difference and of course increased over all print time.. but that is the trade off.
