Support Base Layers Setting not honored

Version 4.1.1:

The 'Support Base Layers' setting doesn't appear to do anything. If Dense Support Layers is set to zero, then base layers don't appear in preview regardless of the Support Base Layers setting. If Dense Support Layers is set to a non-zero number, then dense support base (and upper) layers appear in the preview even if Support Base Layers is set to zero.

Am I missing something?

Re: Support Base Layers Setting not honored

You are missing something...…...the support base layers are specifically designed to be directly placed on the printer bed...and are to help with adhesion.. They are not designed to go on top of the part being extruded.
