Extruder Temperature Issues on a XYZPrinter Da Vinci 1.0 Pro

I’m having some extruder temperature issues using S3D. I have two 3D printers (Anet A8 and XYZPrinting Da Vinci 1.0 Pro). S3D works perfectly with the Anet A8. However, I’m having problems setting the extruder temperature on the Da Vinci. See summary below:

1st Scenario:

1. Extruder temp set to 190.
2. At about 185, the printer start to print.
3. The temp continues to raise until the temp gets to 200.
4. The temp stays at 200 until the print is complete.

2nd Scenario:

1. Extruder temp set to 210.
2. At about 200, the printer start to print.
3. The temp continues to raise until the temp gets to 220.
4. The temp stays at 220 until the print is complete.

S3D seems to add 10 degrees to whatever extruder temperature is selected.

Could you please post a Factory File so we can look into this further?

Re: Extruder Temperature Issues on a XYZPrinter Da Vinci 1.0 Pro

You can edit your gcode with word pad and search for M104
So the below code says
M140 S70 ; Heat Bed to 70C
M190 S70 ; Wait for bed to get to 70 before starting to heat the extruder
M104 S215 T0 ; Heat Extruder T0 to 215C
M109 S215 T0 ; Wait until Extruder is 215 C before starting to print.

The temp number should be what you have set up. If you have set other temperatures at specific layers you will see other line with M104.

You will not see the M190 if you do not have the box checked to wait for extruder.

If the gcode is how you expect it (as you have set in the gui) you may have a heater/wiring/thermistor or PID issue that is not caused by the slicing software.
Hope that helps
