FlashForge Guider II File Upload

Hi All,

I'm very new to the 3D printing world and I'm having a tough time getting my print file from Simplify3D to the Guider II via a flashdrive. I upload the print file to the flashdrive, but once I've selected it on the Guider II, it gives me a message that says "not resume file" and the lights cut off. I've also noticed that the test file on the flashdrive was a .gx file while the file I'm uploading is a gcode file. I'm assuming this is related but struggle to type in anything to google/youtube that is useful to fix.

Does this make sense, or sound familiar to anyone? any advice or input is welcome!
