I do some complex vase mode printing. complex multi surface models with cuts in key places to permit vase mode printing.
Sometimes I get glitches with particularly complex models usually at transitions from one shape to another where the algo does not like the end point of one shape being the same as the start point on the new shape so it will "jump" or it will leave a gap in the layer etc..
usually pretty easy to fix.
This model however just won't slice right. whats really odd is its an out of the blue glitch. usually as noted above the glitches are at transitions but this glitch is "mid shape" where it should be the cleanest IE no reason at all to glitch at all. Usually the only time I see this kind of glitch is with a model defect that s3d can't "clean" but I have done everything I can and I can't figure out what might be wrong with the model. even the slice preview does not show a defect (anytime there is a model defect there is usually an obvious pathing issue in the slicer preview that lets me pinpoint the issue. but this one appears clean its in MOD PATH and just "jumps" for no apparent to me reason.
Suggestions? I have tried repair model I have tried rotating (but that adds its own issues at transitions) I can't seem to get the glitch to go away. this glitch is in both v4 and v5 though its slightly worse in v5
