wont stay open

Windows shut down improperly while s3d 5.1 was open in background, now opens briefly and then shuts down. Reinstalled, same issue. I know in previous version going to C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\S3D-Software\savedState and deleting these files worked but not in newest version., Any advises? Thx.

Re: wont stay open

Update, going to C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\S3D-Software-V5 and deleting .gcode files does work!

Re: wont stay open

Mine is doing exactly the same.

Both 5.10 and 5.11 start up with typical screen, then after a second or so, blue 'working' wheel appears adjacent to mouse pointer then it crashes and closes.

I've tried an uninstall to no avail.

Version 4 still works fine.

You could try following the instructions here to remove any leftover files or settings:
https://www.simplify3d.com/resources/faq/#quest-6350

Many of the things like gcode files and printer profiles are stored in the file system in those folders, so you can copy them to a different location if you want a backup before you try deleting the folder.

Re: wont stay open

It's similar for me.

I can log off Simplify via the interface.

Under License Management it also says "not activated".

But then I can not log in again under Linux.

All attempts that were suggested fail.

The program does not start and the login window does not open.

Meanwhile I am sorry that I spent money for the extension to 5.0.

I am now using Cura again.
