Makerbot Mini

1) Upgraded to Simplify3D 2.2.0
2) Picked Makerbot Mini in the Configuration Assistant
3) Imported a model
4) Double clicked Process
5) Did not find Makerbot Mini under Select Profile so I picked Makerbot Replicator 2
6) Clicked OK
7) Clicked Machine Control Panel

My Makerbot Mini is connected va USB but the only Port option provided is \\.\COM3 so I conclude that Simplify3D cannot communicate with a Makerbot Mini, right?

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers, Scott

Re: Makerbot Mini

First of all, you might want to go to help --> reset all settings. But be sure to export any profiles you need first. After you reset, when you start the program, you can choose the Replicator Mini from the drop down list.

Then go to tools --> machine control panel to connect to the printer. It should list a USB device if the mini is plugged in. However, you first need to make sure MakerBot background services are disabled. If this is Windows, you also need to make sure you already have the MakerBot mini drivers installed.

They have a nice setup guide for this printer that also explains a lot of this stuff:
