It would be very versatile if the auto leveling tool (autolevel wizard)is upgraded to make it tell the user to adjust the Z with Jogger control (by controlling the Z motor (up/down)) against the paper at multiple points on the build bed and make simplify3D "remembers" these different Z values, then when it generates the GCODE make it compensates with this data. This will make the print to be always right regardless of how off-kilter the build platform is... I see this work with the MatterControl software and it is fantastic!! I think adjusting screws to level the bed should be outdated..
MatterControl has the ability to handle bed leveling in this manner. No z probe necessary. Simplify3D is *almost* there with its current bed leveling wizard. Just needs to allow the z jog control to act as the z probe to gather the offsets.
I am currently evaluating a purchase of Simplify3D for my home 3D printing use. I would also like to see this feature implemented since there are no spring adjustments on my Rostock Max V2 and tweaking end stop switches and firmware values to ensure that the bed is level is a tedious and error prone process. I am currently using MatterControl, and this feature works pretty well but other limitations and stability issues in MatterControl are causing me to evaluate other software such as Simplify3D.
