Relink of models to variations

Hi
I hadnt realised that there is a very basic function missing...relinking models
ie You have a slightly different variation that you would like to use in exactly the same position and have all the current zones/processes applied directly so you dont have to keep starting from scratch...unless Im missing something?
Its in bambu, prusa, creality etc and a sorely missing feature in s3d

Re: Relink of models to variations

This is already included in the V5 software. See this post for more details:

Basically, just overwrite the original STL file with your changes and S3D will automatically ask if you want to reload it, keeping the position, process settings, supports, zones, etc all the same.

Yep Ive been using that which is fine except that it stops short of what I mean and gets messy when you are trialling different print scenarios and you need to reference variation libraries or duplicate an existing object but have all those attributes attached to the new (different) object. It gets really painful without it especially when using multi zone/multi process workflows...Im just trying to be helpful...once you get a little complex, its pretty tough keeping track of stuff as its all buried down without an overview

Cheers
