Maintaining consistent extrusion with multiple retraction settings?

Hi everyone,
I'm experimenting with using different retraction settings for different parts of a complex model in Simplify3D. For example, I want shorter retraction for small detailed sections and longer retraction for large infill areas. However, I keep noticing slight under- or over-extrusion when switching between these settings mid-print.

Has anyone found an effective way in Simplify3D to maintain consistent extrusion when dynamically changing retraction settings for different regions of the same print? Are there workflow tips or scripting techniques that could help?

Thanks!

Can you post a factory file showing the exact setup you are having trouble with? It wasn't clear from your post how you are actually trying to change these settings.
