Drying out Contaminated Material

I know I am not alone in having a roll of material that has absorbed moisture, but is there a successful way that anyone has adopted to dry the roll out and make it good again? There must be a way of saving these rolls from the dustbin.

I've been using air-tight containers with Eva Dry silica gel units. I've heard of people using ovens with the door open and food dehydrators but haven't ever tried anything that extreme.
