Print Speed for Skirt, Skirt under Support

Hi, would it be possible to have these features added?

1. Could I have a skirt added to support that touches the printer bed? If I have an overhang (e.g. an arm) that requires support, Simplify3d does a great job of making the square-squiggle -- but the thin-wall support has trouble adhering to my bed.

1. The skirt, brim, and support seem to print too fast -- is this because they do not follow the same rules for first-layer-speed? Would it be possible to force these generated structures to obey my "50% first layer speed" setting?

Thanks.

The skirt already follows the "first layer speed" settings. Give it a try. Make it 100% and then 10%. The skirt speed will change.

Re: Print Speed for Skirt, Skirt under Support

I would really love to have a separate setting for the speed at which the Brim is printed. It prints far too fast and ends up bird-nesting my plate before the rest of the print even begins. However, slowing the skirt down using the other settings that factor into it (First layer speed for example) then creates a situation where my raft and everything else on the first layer prints painfully slow. I don't know which of the existing Underspeeds controls the brim, but why should I have to slow down other elements of my print just to slow down the skirt?

Again, the skirt and brim speeds already follow the "first layer underspeed" settings. For example, if you set that to 50%, those items will print at half the speed they did when it was 100%

Again though, I would really love to have a separate setting for the speed at which the skirt is printed, because as I said, currently my skirt is arbitrarily printing at MUCH faster speeds than my raft, despite the fact that they both follow my already very slow first-layer-underspeed settings. I can't afford to slow down the first layer any further and have my raft take an hour to print just so just I can give an additional 10 seconds to the skirt.

Regarding the skirt, I have noticed that if you take the gcode that s3d produces and print it on the same printer using octoprint on a pi then the skirt is printed in a jerky fashion compared to how it is printed when s3d is driving the printer directly. The rest of the print gets printed smoothly. I think what's happening there is that s3d is creating the skirt with a lot of tiny segments where the skirt changes direction and the low powered pi can't send the large number of segments quick enough to keep the head movement smooth. S3d doesn't need to do that, it could use a lower resolution and then the skirt would print smoothly on any printer/driver.

+1 for speed and support -

-Also one thing - I would love an multiplier/width settings for the skirt, so I could have a skirt extruded at 150% to really prime my extruder and really tuck that plastic firmly in.
