Robo R1 connects but nothing else.

This is kind of weird. I just got a new Robo R1 set up and I'm trying to get simplify3d configured for it.

-Matter control prints fine over UBS
-I can get the R1 to connect under the machine control panel
-After connection it keeps sending M105 (Temp request Edit:I just remembered it wrong) but never gets anything back
-I never get any kind of response.
-After I disconnect from the machine control panel it won't connect again until I connect and reconnect in matter control
-Previously used S3d with a dremel idea builder and it worked fine.
any thoughts?

Re: Robo R1 connects but nothing else.

Are you using the correct port and baud rate? Have you made sure that no other program is connected to the R1 since only one program can connect at any given time?

Also, M104 is not the correct command for polling temperature. It should be (and is in s3d) M105 by default. Maybe your settings got changed a bit, you can change the temperature polling command in Tools > Firmware Configuration > FFF Tab under Report Temperature

Re: Robo R1 connects but nothing else.

Sorry about the M104/M105 thing that was just me switching the commands in my head at the time of posting.

Baud rate is 115200, the robo r1 has a Mega 2560 on USB.

It definitely connects, connect button turns green. If I have it connected to Matter Control or something it won't connect with simplify3d at all. But I just seem to get nothing back.

Why don't you post the communication log? Make sure that the verbose checkbox is enabled in the machine control panel and then copy/paste all of the communication between the printer and the software
