For the External infill, the external infill is locked to the global coordinates, which would mean you would need to rotate your model in the software if you needed to customize the external infill.
So it is not possible anymore to set external infill direction in 3.0
I thought that this is basic level functionality in 3d printing software Printing top layer in 0 or 90 degrees just looks much better in lot of 3d prints so why not implemented? "locked to the global coordinates" can not be any excuse..
