S3D 3.0 "avoid crossing outline for travel movement" problem

I have an object which crashes S3D during slicing if I turn on "avoid crossing outline for travel movement" switch. I uploaded it for you to check: http://fns.hu/screenshot/X2.stl

I made a short demo video about the issue: http://fns.hu/screenshot/Simplify3D-3_0 ... ze-bug.mov

Works fine for me. Sliced it on several different computers and it worked on every single one. Why don't you post a factory file so we can see what exact settings you are using (file --> save factory file as)?

Also, maybe attach a crash report if this keeps happening

Here you are - I packed factory file, profile and the crash report into this zip.

I have the same problem. Btw thanks to this post I found what was making all my stls to crash, I been using old version since the update because of that.

Yes I have just discovered the same behaviour. The crash occurs during the writing of the tool movements almost at the end. If you reduce the size of the model or increase the layer thickness, you are able to build OK, but a complex model will crash with fine settings.

It looks like a memory error, but I am no expert on resolving crash logs. I am using Yosemite 10.10.2 with 32 GB memory. Turn of the option and it all works OK, but this feature is fantastic for oozy materials like Filaflex which I use a lot.

Slices fine for me also... though I didn't load your process file. I did make sure to "avoid crossing outline..."

Silced on a MBA circa 2013.
